Beat: Boulder County and science/environment
Bio: Laura Snider grew up amongst the cow pastures of southwest Virgina, where she stayed through college, earning a bachelor's of science from the College of Agriculture at Virginia Tech. After graduating, Laura headed into the wilderness, working full time as an outdoor educator for Outward Bound, the National Outdoor Leadership School and the Yosemite Institute.
Realizing it was time for a change -- and time to live in one place for more than a few months -- Laura moved to Boulder to follow another passion, writing. After earning a Master's in Journalism from CU, she was lucky to land a job writing about science and the environment in a town full of brainy scientists and nature lovers.
