Beat: Police and courts
Bio: I came to this game a bit later in life than most -- at the age of 30 -- after having been a teacher for several years. However, I think starting when I did forced me to take a more deliberate and focused approach to the job than might have been the case had journalism been my first career choice.
I began as a reporter at the Boulder County Business Report, then freelanced for several publications in the Denver area, joined the staff at the Rocky Mountain News for two years, and now am pleased to be on board with the Daily Camera.
The most important aspects of journalism are, without question, fairness and accuracy and I strive to use these as the anchors for my reporting and writing, no matter what the subject.
Started at the Daily Camera: 2006
