Beat: Features writer, youth reporter, fashion columnist
Bio: Aimee committed her life to writing in kindergarten, when her teacher asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said a writer and a cheerleader, like the mouse at Showbiz Pizza. Until she lands a mouse-cheerleader gig, she will continue journalism, the best way she's figured out how to (sort of) earn money writing.
Because she's a 5-year-old at heart, her passion is covering youth. And because of the aforementioned cheerleader side, she especially loves covering positive things that kids are doing -- such as rebuilding the Gulf Coast after the hurricane and helping put African refugees through school. Aimee hopes to inspire people to live deeply and fearlessly and to cling to the beauty in darkness.
Also she loves lipstick.
And poodles.
