The city of Boulder is hosting an event for National Alternative Fuel Vehicles Day from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Boulder library, 1000 Canyon Blvd.
The event is free, and a panel will discuss the life cycle of biofuels and the future of the compressed natural gas industry. Also, alternative fuel vehicles will be on display and available for test drives.
The National Alternative Fuel Vehicles Day Odyssey has been around since 2002, and in 2006, the odyssey was hosted at 60 sites in three countries and attracted 40,000 attendees, according to a news release.
