The Texas man facing felony charges over the killing of 32 bison in Park County is the CEO of a $400 million global software company.
Jeffrey Scott Hawn, of Austin, turned himself in to Park County authorities on Monday on charges of theft, criminal mischief and cruelty to animals. He was released on $15,000 bail.
Hawn is accused of killing two of the bison himself and bringing in hunters who killed the other bison on March 19.
Investigators say the animals had strayed onto Hawn's land from a neighbor's ranch.
Hawn is due in court Monday for a bond appearance. His lawyer, Pamela Mackey, could not be reached for comment.

Pam Mackey was Kobe's lawyer in the sex assult case. Very high profile.
Perhaps he shot the bison to protect his real estate investment from an Adverse Possession claim, since he's a Texas high tech big shot and propably only comes here to escape Texas for a week or two in the summer or to snow plow down the bunny slopes at Breck as all Texans do:)

Jeff Hawn, Jeffrey Hawn, Jeffrey Scott Hawn, Chairman, President and CEO of Attachmate in Austin Texas is the type of bully with low esteem who has to get his own way. Shooting and killing 32 grazing bison at close range to teach his neighbor a lesson is disgusting, and I hope the courts, in turn, teach him a lesson.

What an ignorant moron. It doesn't surprise me that the guy is a rich Texan rancher wannabe. The LA Times had an article covering this incident that described the situation perfectly. To shoot these animals and let them rot is unconscionable.
Lightning Rose, open range has been around longer than you have, and works perfectly well when people aren't idiots. Of course, that is a problem these days.
